As is the case for many of you, my holidays involved a trip back to my hometown burbs, Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina. Each year I recognize less and less, exiting off the interstate to a seemingly brand new town. Somehow I am able to find my way to my old neighborhood, Wando Lakes, and breathe a sigh of relief as I drive down the humble, largely unchanged road that leads to my parents home. Greeted by barking dogs, an exstatic mom, and my stoic, smirking dad, all becomes familiar and welcome.
