Collaboration in the Works

For my upcoming show in Raleigh I am collaborating long distance with 5 book artists on a few different edits of my work. I am not totally positive on all of the details for most of them, well, any of them really, but I suppose that is what makes collaborating exciting. The images below are from a project that I am working on with Robyn Raines, former Core Fellow connection from Penland. For my part, I printed an edit of houses from last years travels onto a frosted and semi-transparent film that will somehow sit over the maps that I designed to correspond with the location of each house, and the rest is up to Mrs. Raines... MakeWork Update

In an effort to give myself as much work to edit as possible for the upcoming Via Penland show at the Rebus Works Gallery in Raleigh, I have finally finished scanning all of my photographs from 2009, well almost all of them...

These next few are from a visit my lady and I made to Austin, TX last fall. This was a fitting part of my travels last year cause I was born in Austin but knew nothing of it because, well my sister had to be born in Corpus Christi just some months later and then my bro had to go and get born up in Massachusetts and well, then we moved to South Carolina...

Anyway,

I returned to Austin, Texas and these lousy color photographs are all I brought back...
